Tennis Star Sloane Stephens poses semi nude for Sports Illustrated (Photos)

American tennis star, Sloane Stephens is officially a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit athlete.

The 24-year-old who has won five singles titles, including her first Major at the 2017 US Open, went almost naked for the latest Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition.

She also posed seductively in series of sexy black lingerie and bikinis for SI.

Speaking on posing for SI Swimsuit, the tennis star said: "I’ve always loved the beauty of the SI Swimsuit issue and thought it would be incredible to one day be a part of it. I honestly never thought I’d have the opportunity. When the opportunity was presented, I immediately said yes because I felt really honored to be a part of it."

Photo: Nigerian man sentenced to 18 years in prison for duping over 40 Vietnamese women

A 45-year-old Nigerian man and three Vietnamese women were on Thursday, December 14, sentenced to jail by a court in Can Tho City in southern Vietnam for duping people including 40 women around the country out of more than VND20 billion ($900,000)

Micheal Ikechukwu Leonard and his gang duped nearly 40 women into paying customs fees for non-existent expensive gifts from overseas.

Leonard received 18 years in prison, while Huynh Ha Binh, Huynh Ha Uyen and Nguyen Tran Quynh Nhi, all from Ho Chi Minh City, got between 12 to 15 years each.

According to the indictment, Leonard and Binh, 27, started living together in August 2014 in Ho Chi Minh City before moving to Cambodia and opening a fashion shop.

While in Cambodia, the duo hatched a plan to con rich Vietnamese women via the social media. Facebook’s Messenger and Zalo are the two most popular chat apps in Vietnam.

The Nigerian man used fake accounts and described himself as a rich man or even a U.S. Army officer who had just gone through a divorce and was “lonely.”

He approached wealthy women and tried to build a relationship with them, and as many as 37 fell for the trick.

To gain their trust, Leonard told the women he would send them valuable gifts such as laptops, cellphones, jewelry and cosmetics from the U.S.

When the women were sucked in, Binh, Uyen and Nhi pretended to be Vietnamese customs officers and contacted the women, telling them that packages sent to them contained expensive goods or large amounts of foreign currency, so the women would have to pay a customs fee or even a fine.

In late March 2016, after the group had conned a woman in Can Tho City out of VND650 million ($28,500), Leonard and the other three were arrested. See previous report here

They all confessed to their crimes in court.
Binh and Leonard have a child together, and the baby is now with Binh’s parents.

Nigerian dancehall star, Damini Ogulu popularly known as ‘Burna Boy’ on Friday submitted himself to the Lagos State Police Command to state his side of the story over allegations of his involvement in a robbery attack on a fellow artiste, Mr. 2kay.

He was subsequently arrested, interrogated and detained and is expected to be charged to court on Monday alongside four of members of the gang earlier arrested.

Commissioner of Police, Mr. Imohimi Edgal, after the interrogation, said the State Police Command has zero tolerance for all forms of crime and would not hesitate to prosecute anyone found culpable in any criminal offence perpetrated in the State.

“There would be no sacred cows. This Command is poised to ensure that every resident can feel safe wherever they are and carry out their businesses without fear or favour. Anyone therefore found to be involved in this case would be made to face the law to clear his or her name or face prosecution,” Imohimi said.

The pop musician, who was declared wanted by the Lagos Police Command in connection with the robbery attack on another popular musician, Mr. 2kay at Eko Hotel and Suites early last month, reported to the Command headquarters in Ikeja at about 5pm.

Tunmise Omotore, gang leader of the suspected robbers, had confessed on how they disguised as room service to rob Mr. 2kay at Eko Hotel and Suites on the instruction of Burba Boy’s Road Manager, Joel Kantiock.

College professor threatens to automatically fail any students who cheats in exam after her first husband cheated on her

According to a Twitter user, Antonio, his college professor told them the story of how her first husband had 3 extra marital affairs saying that any student who cheats in her class automatically fails because it reminds her of her ex-husband and that she hates cheaters. A 24-year-old Myanmar domestic helper in Singapore was so fed up with her employer’s mother-in-law nagging her every day that she decided to poison the  woman’s drink, hoping her behavior would get her sent back to her home in Myanmar.

However, Mya Thet Wai was on Monday, August 14, sentenced to five months in a Singapore prison.

According to The Straits Times, the victim, 65-year-old Toh Sew Keok, told a Singapore court on Monday that she had made a cereal drink for herself on the morning of April 6 and covered the drink with a lid before heading into another room to feed her infant granddaughter. When she returned to the kitchen, she took a sip and immediately spit it out and washed out her mouth.

When Toh Sew Keok asked Wai whether she had added something to the drink, the maid denied it. But when her employer came home to inspect the CCTV footage and called the police, Mya Thet Wai confessed to putting Dettol in the drink, saying she no longer wanted to work in that household.

Mya Thet Wai repeated her confession to the court on Monday and said she knew the mixture could harm the victim. She added that she was desperate to escape Toh Sew Keok’s nagging and hoped her employer would send her home over the ordeal.

After acknowledging her poor decision and pleading for leniency, the Singapore court sentenced her to five months in prison. Her crime carried a maximum sentence of up to 10 years in prison, plus the possibility of a fine.
